High-altitude balancing suit VKK-6M
High-altitude balancing suit VKK-6M provides for a pilot life support and improving performance at a height up to 40 km.
Consists of anti-g device (AGD). tensioner (TD).
abandon pressure compensator.
AGD consists of two leg and one abandon rubber bladders, connected to each other with adapters. TD - rubber bladder consists of two parts connected with a straight arch. During flight in unpressurized cockpit (at a cruising altitude of more than 12 km), tensioner bladders are supplied with oxygen for mechanical body reduction. This reduction compensates superfluous pressure in lungs.
Specifications:
Acceleration to be tolerated by the pilot wearing VKK-6M is up to10Gs.
Maximum working pressure in AGD bladders - 1.6 kgs/sq.cm.
Maximum working pressure in TD bladders is 2 kgs/sq.cm.
Capable of operating through a temperature range - 30 °C to +50° С.
At an altitude of more than 14 km operates together with pressurized helmet GCH-6, pressure gloves PK-1 and pressure socks KN-4. Working time during flight in unpressurized cockpit (at a cruising altitude of 14 km, using pressurized helmet) is not less than 4 min. VKK-6M can operate in conjunction with VK-3M.
Weight: from 3.2 to 3.6 kg (depending on size).
Service life: 13 years.
